Ballot Questions

Shall the board of Independent School District No. 2886 (Glenville-Emmons School District), Minnesota be authorized to issue general obligation school building bonds in an amount not to exceed $37,420,000 for acquisition and betterment of school sites and facilities including, but not limited to, the construction of a new preK-12 school?

Shall the school board of Independent School District No. 294 (Houston Public Schools) be authorized to issue its general obligation school building bonds in an amount not to exceed $18,225,000 to provide funds for the acquisition and betterment of school sites and facilities, including the construction of secure entrances and safety improvements at the high school and elementary school sites; the construction and equipping of a new high school media center, cafeteria, and art classrooms; the conversion of the existing media center into a high school main office; renovations and ADA-accessibility improvements to restrooms at school sites and the high school locker rooms; the construction of improvements to parking lots; the relocation of the storage garage; the acquisition and installation of a fire suppression system at the high school site; renovations and updates to convert the high school principal’s office into meeting and collaboration spaces; and the construction and equipping of a multipurpose cafeteria and kitchen addition at the elementary school site and the repurposing of the existing cafeteria at that site into a music room?

If School District Question 1 is approved, shall the school board of Independent School District No. 294 (Houston Public Schools) also be authorized to issue its general obligation school building bonds in an amount not to exceed $12,155,000 to provide funds for the acquisition and betterment of school sites and facilities, including the construction and equipping of an auditorium and performing arts addition at the high school facility that includes flexible academic spaces, a new band room and restrooms; and the repurposing of the existing band room into a community exercise and weight room, concessions area and athletics entrance?

Shall the school board of Independent School District No. 330 (Heron Lake-Okabena) be authorized to issue its general obligation school building bonds in an amount not to exceed $2,500,000 to provide funds for the acquisition and betterment of school sites and facilities, including the completion of various deferred maintenance projects at school sites and facilities, including the construction of a new roof on a portion of the high school, the installation of a new pool filtering system at the elementary school, and repairs and maintenance to the building envelope at the elementary school? BY VOTING "YES" ON THIS BALLOT QUESTION, YOU ARE VOTING FOR A PROPERTY TAX INCREASE.

Shall the school board of Independent School District No. 487 (Upsala Area Schools) be authorized to issue its general obligation school building bonds in an amount not to exceed $4,675,000 to provide funds for the acquisition and betterment of school sites and facilities, including improvements and upgrades to HVAC, electrical systems and roofing, the installation of dehumidification improvements, and the acquisition and installation of replacement boilers? BY VOTING "YES" ON THIS BALLOT QUESTION, YOU ARE VOTING FOR A PROPERTY TAX INCREASE.

Shall option B, providing for the appointment of the clerk and treasurer by the town board, be adopted for the government of the town?

Shall the school board of Independent School District No. 876 (Annandale Public Schools) be authorized to issue its general obligation school building bonds in an amount not to exceed $98,700,000 to provide funds for the acquisition and betterment of school sites and facilities, including the construction and equipping of a new high school facility; renovations to the existing high school facility to convert that facility for use as a middle school; and the decommissioning of the existing Annandale Middle School site? BY VOTING "YES" ON THIS BALLOT QUESTION, YOU ARE VOTING FOR A PROPERTY TAX INCREASE.
